I experienced something similar with bigourson. I was ready to call the service. Before that, after observations, I adopted this procedure:
1. Switch the Main Power switch - ON, at least 10 min. before the projection. You can simply start with this when you go to watch a movie. Allow the projector to warm-up before the projection.
2. Prepare the other devices (amplifier, BD, etc) BUT DO NOT close the the disc-tray.
3.Switch (with the remote) the projection ON and allow the logos to appear (EPSON and then the BD player's one)
4.A few more seconds to have the last logo clear with its correct colors.
5. Close the tray for the movie to start --- and that's it.
Since I established the above sequence the problem has been solved.
I dont think it's a big deal. It's just a routine.
I hope bigourson will find this helpful and it will solve his problem too.
I apologise for the use of english but writing in french is not my forte.
I had panasonic projector before. It was OK but I find this EPSON better in many aspects (user friendly, sharpness, colors, blacks etc)
